 LINEO buys flax yarns and fabrics as flax reinforcements from the weaving mill LIBECO-LAGAE. Then, LINEO handles tese flax reinforcements to allow their use in the manufacture of composites. We offer a range of product for wet lay-up applications (by hand, infusion,...). In addition, LINEO also impregnates these reinforcements with liquid thermoset resins. The resulting products, called prepregs, are used for the realisation of high performance composite parts. From our products, our customers can achieve parts such as bicycle frames, rackets, fishing rods, skis, surfs, boat hulls, windblades, walls, suitcases, machine parts, musical instruments,... |

Today, numerous sectors are interested by the products of LINEO:  Sport and leisure activity is the most avant-gardist sector. LINEO has developed and finalised, with the former world champion of cycling Museeuw, a cycle consisted of flax fibres. Other products in sport and leisure activity will be on the market before 2009.  The water sport is a sector in search of more ecological solutions in the manufacturing processes of boats. Hulls of boats can so be made on base of flax fibres. The aeronautics sector sees flax as a very interesting alternative. Indeed, flax can be integrated into the internal parts of cockpits.  The wind energy, the equipment, the transport or still furniture are also sectors interesting and interested in the company LINEO. |
